Inventory of the Calcografia Canova, 1826.

A 21 page manuscript inventory (stitched gathering with 28 leaves) of the prints and copperplates in the Calcografia Canova on September 30, 1826. The Calcografia Canova was a print shop and place where copperplates were printed. The prints and plates are organized topically (e.g. Sepolcri, Monumenti, Bassorelievi, Gruppi) and listed according to the rooms where they were stored: the prints in stanza prima and stanza seconda, the engraved copperplates in stanza terza. For each print three classifications are: avanti lettere; col solo nomi o lettere leggere, con lettere; in addition, the number of copies of each classification are given. Also included is an unsigned pen drawing on blue paper depicting 23 of the prints in miniature.
